Blackberry-Yoli Sherbet… A Healthy Dessert Recipe

There’s no denying that most of us have a fearsome sweet tooth. It’s one of the hardest things to reckon with when trying to lose weight. But I’ve got some good news for you:

This recipe (and more to follow!) will satisfy your sweet tooth, whether you’re enjoying the treats as midday snacks or as after-dinner desserts. Who doesn’t want a great tasting, healthy dessert?


9 oz. frozen or fresh blackberries

2 tsp. Yoli TRUTH

1 tbsp. lite maple syrup

¼ cup water

1 sprig fresh mint


Wash and drain the blackberries. Set a few blackberries aside and puree the rest together with the Yoli TRUTH, maple syrup, and water. Place the blackberry puree in a stainless steel bowl, cover, and freeze 3-4 hours, stirring at 1 hour intervals. Transfer the sherbet to dessert bowls, and garnish with remaining berries and mint.
