My household has undergone a major economic shift as of late. This shock can rock or shake one’s foundation and cause questions to be raised about once tightly-held beliefs. What do we to do when a challenge seems almost too hard to overcome? When we are too tired to carry on? This is the time when what we most need is faith, hope and encouragement.
I recently came upon this quote that reminded me that during difficult times is when one’s character is challenged and, to help rise to the challenge, one needs to seek a higher power for strength and encouragement. I hope this helps lift you as it has done for me.
“All difficulties which might and would cross our way must be surmounted. Though the soul be tired, the heart faint, and the hands down we must not retrace our steps; there must be a decision of character… when instructed, we must obey that voice and observe the laws of the kingdom of God, that the blessing of heaven may rest down upon us.” -Joseph Smith
